Arts & Sciences: Magistra Beatriz Aluares de la Oya will oversee the A&S Competition. It is spring, and all Vikings’ thoughts turn lightly to dreams of adventure! In honor of the new Baronage of Ponte Alto, the theme for Investiture Arts & Sciences will be Preparing for Adventure. Competition A: Planning Ahead Why else go raiding, if not to acquire new things?? This competition will focus on items created for a season of viking - clothing, food items, gear, etc. that no good Norseman (or Icelander) can do without on their long sea voyages. Documentation in the form of Atlantian EZ Docs is encouraged but not required. Prize will be awarded by Baron’s Choice. Competition B: Make Do and Mend Making new things is a delight to the senses, but there is deep satisfaction in restoring life to a beloved item. This competition will highlight repairs and mends made to existing items - show us how you’ve mended a hole in your favorite garment, patched a trusty old basket, or refurbished a valuable tool. Documentation in the form of Atlantian EZ Docs is encouraged but not required. Prize will be awarded by Baroness’s Choice. Please contact Magistra Beatriz Aluares de la Oya (beatriz.aluares@gmail.com) with any questions.
